ALUUUUUUU!
The food in Italy is very different from the Swedish. The Italian food contains much more sugar than the Swedish food. The breakfast is totaly diffrerent, in Sweden we for example eat a sandwich with butter and ham or cheese or cereals with milk/yoghurt and we usually drink milk, juice or water to our breakfast, while in Italy, they eat cookies, Nutella and "Kinder milk slice". (OK, Ivana eats Nutella to every meal of the day, hihi !)
Also the salad isn't the same, in the Italian version there's usually nothing more than lettuce, in Sweden we usually add cucumber, tomatoes or something else to make the salad more full-flavoured and except that we eat much more vegetables overall., but when it comes to the pasta it's pretty much the same here as in Italy. We noticed that the food in Sweden is more spicy than the Italian food, which we didn't really got used to during our stay in Italy. ;)
The pizza was very tasteful and not as unhealthy as in Sweden, usually we put a lot of sauce on the pizza, and as an extra on top we can have for example seafood or fries. MMMMM :)
We have to mention the Italian icecream! IT'S SOOO GOOOOOD OMGGGGG! We could live on the Italian icecream, yummi! :)))
And last but not least, WE MISS YOU GUYS soooo much and we hope we'll meet again, maybe next summer?! :)
LOVE from Ivana, Alma, Pontus, Lovisa and Kristina !
Capirola and GKC, two upper secondary schools in Leno, Italy and in Gnosjö, Sweden have met in exchanges between pupils and teachers since 2007, using the exchange as a teaching tool. Welcome to take a look at our activities this year, 2012!

Italy rules!
We miss you guys! During our stay in Italy, we had the opportunity to visit your beautiful school in Leno. From our point of view, there were a lot of differences between Swedish schools and Italian schools. The day both starts and ends a bit earlier in Italy and you guys don’t eat lunch at school, like we do. Clocks are ringing every time a lesson begins and ends and the school is really, really BIG!
We are like 300 pupils back home at GKC and you are almost 2000 pupils! OMG! But still you have pretty small school classes… Maybe it’s because of the massive amount of pupils that you can’t have your own computers. We feel sooooooooo sorry for you!
But the biggest and most "terrifying "difference between our schools was…. Wait for it… THE TOILETS! Either all the women in Italy are men or just super humans, cause we don’t understand how girls manage to use these “holes in the ground” How? HOOOW? We salute you! You guys have the same classroom for a whole year, which is a little bit different from our school because we often change classrooms depending on which subject we have. Not every class changes classrooms every new subject but around one a day does.

SWEDEN MISS ITALY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SOOOO, OK... ITALY WAS AWESOME AND WE MISS IT... okay you know, MILANO WAS AAAWEEESOOOOOMMMEEE! It's like... what are we doing in Sweden... We really loooved MILANO with its shopping streets, the BIRDS, its fashion style, (the cool thing is that they have everything we have in Sweden but everything just looks older, more beautiful), oh and there were also some homeless people around... :'( I gave them some of my money... heh.
Anyway, we went to the Cathedral , "il Duomo"! Can't believe it almost took 500 years to built! And those steps up to the top, WE DIED! They must build an elevator :D No but the Duomo was really beautiful and we're so thankful that we visited that church because we werereally looking forward to it!
(my camera died after this photo, right before I was going to take a photo of the Duomo, so sorry)
The icecream in Milano, in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II... was PERFECT. And we've learned SOO much about Italy during our stay! The families were so thoughtful, the FOOD was a clear B I N G O, our cultures are very different, comparing to our capital Stockholm, Milano looks and has more cultural infrastructure, you've left the old fashioned style where it is instead of building everything into modern. And we've learned some "good" words in italian too (; haha
We will never forget this journey, NEVER EVER. We've got thousands of photographs, we've got memories, we've got each others Facebooks, we will keep in contact forever as a family. Now once again, Thank You Italy!
Lots of LOVE from Kristina Leckholt and Karlijn Von Morgen

OUTING No 3
OUTING No 2
Gothenburg is the second biggest city in Sweden and it is very populated.
It is situated near the sea. In this city there are a lot of big buildings and shopping centers. There is a big harbour too.
We spent a lot of time in a shopping mall called... (sorry, we don’t remember the name!!!).
We think that Gothenburg is a beautiful city and we hope to go there again soon!
Even if we didn't join our mates ....
Hi guys, we are the ones who stayed in Italy and we have learnt that you love cucumbers, you don't use olive oil, you love ketchup and you often mix salt and sweet food. Your parties aren't as the Italian ones, you organise parties in the forest or in some houses always without drinking alcoholic drinks!!!!

Day 1 - Departure time!
Meeting point: Leno square
We said hello to our schoolmates who had to stay at school ! We left at 11:00 - destination: Orio al Serio airport where we arrived an hour later! We checked in and we had lunch together at Mc Donald's. Than we took the plane: Valentina and some other girls were scared because it was the first time that they had taken the plane.
Unluckily we couldn't sing on the plane so we sang on the coach which took us to Gnosjo.
After five days spent happily together having fun and relaxing we came back to Italy singing all the time but with memorable Swedish moments in our hearts!!! :)
Family life
What an experience!
We couldn't imagine that living in a Swedish family could be so interesting! Every family where we stayed was very quiet, friendly ad nice. They made us feel at home! When we stayed at our friends' home they cared a lot about us and always asked if we needed anything, if we were hungry and things of the kind... there were no problems. If we wanted anything we could ask them as they were always available and very kind. They have very different habits, for example they eat more times a day, and their cuisine is "exotic", but tasty and delicious. The vibe in their houses is calmer than in ours; they are very tidy and what we liked a lot is that we had to take off our shoes before walking into the house! Another thing we noticed is that there are no fences between each other's property.

YOUR SCHOOL ....IS
....NOT LIKE OURS!
GKC is very different from CAPIROLA: we were surprised at the Swedish teaching method. Each student has a laptop given by the school!
During the lessons you can use your laptop of course, mobile phones and listen to music. You can choose what to do but at the end of the year you have to take tough exams and it is very important to pass them to find a good job in the future.
Another difference is that you have a canteen and all the students eat there.
There are facilities to play sport such as a big gym, a swimming- pool, a sauna, a football pitch and a lovely park!
Students have a more relaxed relationship with their teachers who are friendlier than Italian ones.

HERE ARE OUR OUTINGS
No.1 -Storemosse
It’s a big park where you can find different kinds of animals such as moose and cranes.
When you enter the park you are in a wood and you have to follow a path. At the end of it there is a big area which looks like a savannah with little trees. It’s a boggy area so you have to walk on a wooden footway which leads to a little lake.
Vale, Cate & Ila.
Hi guys!
We are the ones who stayed in Italy but we learnt something about your country from our mates:
Sweden is less polluted that Italy because people respect and care about the environment. As you live in the wood, so surrounded by nature, life is calmer and quieter compared to our area, which is in the countryside but there are more towns.
Then your school is different from ours: pupils are freer and during the lessons they can decide not to listen to the teachers because you are more responsible and you know that if you don't study it's your problem, not the teachers'! Your school is smaller than ours but you have more facilities like the swimming- pool and the cafeteria!
What about having us around all year round?!?
